Ο Νίκος Μαρκάκης είναι δάσκαλος και ψυχοθεραπευτής. Γεννήθηκε (11/11/1964) και μεγάλωσε στον Πειραιά. Σπούδασε παιδαγωγικά στην Παιδαγωγική Ακαδημία Θεσσαλονίκης ( 1982 – 1984 ) και εδώ και 28 χρόνια ( από το 1987 ) δουλεύει ως «μάχιμος» δάσκαλος. Για 5 χρόνια αποσπάστηκε στη Γερμανία σε Τμήματα Μητρικής Γλώσσας, όπου δίδαξε σε παιδιά Ελλήνων μεταναστών. Για μια σχολική χρονιά (2007-08) υπήρξε διευθυντής δημοτικού σχολείου, αλλά παραιτήθηκε και ξαναγύρισε στη σχολική τάξη, γιατί «εκεί ένιωθε την ψυχή του γεμάτη, εκεί ένιωθε πληρότητα και χαρά».
Πήρε προδίπλωμα ψυχολογίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Αμβούργου και πτυχίο ψυχολογίας στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Αποσπάστηκε για ένα χρόνο στο Παιδαγωγικό Τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών στον τομέα της Παιδαγωγικής Ψυχολογίας, όπου συμμετείχε σε διδακτικό και ερευνητικό έργο.
Εκπαιδεύτηκε στο Α.Κ.Μ.Α. στα ψυχομετρικά τεστ W.I.S.C. στο Τ.Α.Τ.
Από το 1999 ασχολείται με την εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων και δίνει διαλέξεις, διοργανώνει και συντονίζει ομάδες Ενηλίκων και Σχολές Γονέων σε παιδικούς σταθμούς, νηπιαγωγεία, δημοτικά, γυμνάσια, ιδιωτικά κέντρα, κέντρα πρόληψης, παρέχοντας εκπαίδευση, συμβουλευτική, πρόληψη και θεραπεία. Εδώ και μερικά χρόνια έχει τις δικές του ομάδες : Εκπαιδευτική & θεραπευτική Ομάδα Εφήβων, Εκπαιδευτικές Ομάδες Ενηλίκων, Θεραπευτική Ομάδα Γυναικών, Θεραπευτική & Εκπαιδευτική Νεαρών Ενηλίκων .
Αυτόν τον καιρό συνεχίζει να δουλεύει ως δάσκαλος (στο 28ο Δημ. Σχ. Πειραιά), ενώ παράλληλα είναι Συνθεπαπευτής ( Co-therapist ) σε θεραπευτική ομάδα ( group therapy) , αντρών & γυναικών , στο Α.Κ.Μ.Α
Ήταν Επιμορφωτής Επιμορφωτών ( Α 2 ) στο Μείζον Πρόγραμμα Επιμόρφωσης του Παιδαγωγικού Ινστιτούτου σε θέματα ψυχολογίας.
Είναι μέλος της ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗΣ ΕΤΑΙΡΙΑΣ ΣΥΣΤΗΜΙΚΩΝ ΘΕΡΑΠΕΥΤΩΝ (ΕΛ.Ε.ΣΥ.Θ.), του ΠΑΝΕΛΛΗΝΙΟΥ ΨΥΧΟΛΟΓΙΚΟΥ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΥ και του ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟΥ ΔΑΣΚΑΛΩΝ ΠΕΙΡΑΙΑ «ΡΗΓΑΣ ΦΕΡΑΙΟΣ». Πρόσφατα, το Γενάρη του 2016 πήρε και την πιστοποίηση ψυχοθεραπευτή και έγινε μέλος και στην Ευρωπαϊκή Συνομοσπονδία Ψυχοθεραπείας ( European Association for psychotherapy )
Είναι συγγραφέας του βιβλίου «ΑΝ ΑΓΑΠΑΤΕ ΤΑ ΠΑΙΔΙΑ ΣΑΣ, ΑΓΑΠΗΣΤΕ ΠΡΩΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΕΑΥΤΟ ΣΑΣ», ( 7η έκδοση / εκδόσεις ΑΓΚΥΡΑ ) όπου καταθέτει τις εμπειρίες του ως δάσκαλος και ψυχοθεραπευτής με βάση τη συστημική σκέψη. Άρθρα του έχουν δημοσιευτεί σε παιδαγωγικά περιοδικά και εφημερίδες.
Πρωτίστως όμως είναι σύντροφος και πατέρας. Είναι παντρεμένος με την Ελένη Γιαννούκου, «φελόλογο» ( όπως λέει και η ίδια) στα Αμπελάκια Σαλαμίνας και έχουν δύο υπέροχες κορούλες τη ΜαριΆννα, 9 ετών και την Ίριδα, 3,5 ετών.
Nick Markakis is a teacher and psychotherapist. He was born ( 11 / 11 / 1964 ) and raised in Piraeus. He studied pedagogigs in the Pedagogical Academy of Thessaloniki ( 1982 – 1984 ) and has been working as a teacher for the past 28 years ( since 1987 ). For 5 years he undertook a secondment in Germany in Native Language Classes, where he taught the children of Greek immigrants. During the school year 2007 -08 he served as a Primary School Principal, but eventually resigned in order to go back to the class “where he felt his soul complete, he felt fulfillment and joy”.
He got a Psychology Prediploma in the University of Hamburg and a Psychology Degree in the Panteion University of Athens. He was on a secondment for a year in the Faculty of Primary Education of the University of Athens, in the Department of Education and Psychology, where he took part in both teaching and research.
He was trained in the Athenian Institute of Anthropos ( A.I.A. ) in psychometrics tests W.I.S.C. and the Thematic Apperception Test ( T.A.T. )
Since 1999 he has undertaken Adult Education and has been giving lectures. He is also the organizer and coordinator of Adult groups and School for Parents in Nurseries, Kindergartens, Primary and Secondary Schools, Private centers, offering training, advisory, prevention and therapy. For the past few years he has been working on his own groups : Educational and Therapeutical Adolescent Group, Adult Educational Groups, Therapeutic and Education of Young Adults. At the same time he continues his work as a teacher ( in the 28th Primary School of Piraeus ) while working as a Co-therapist in the Women and Men group Therapy in the A.I.A.
He has been the trainer of trainers ( A 2 ) in the Major Training Programme of the Institut of Education in psychology issues.
He is a member of the Greek Society of Systemic Therapy ( ELESYTH ), of the Panhellenic Psychological Association and the Association of Teachers of Piraeus, “Rigas Fereos”.
He is the writer of the book “If you love your kids, love yourself first” ( 7th edition, Agyra publications, Athens ), where he shares his experience as a teacher and psychotherapist, based on Systemic Thinking. His articles have been published in educational magazines and newspapers.
He is married to Helen Giannoukou, who is a Philologist in the secondary education, and they have two wonderful daughters, Maria –Anna and Irida.
